Tania Vander Meulen

Tania completed her Bachelor of Science in Foods and Nutrition at the University of Idaho in 2004. She then completed a Masters of Education in Physical Education with an emphasis on exercise physiology in 2006, also from the University of Idaho. Tania came back to Canada to finish her dietetics internship, which she completed in Ottawa. Tania has been practicing as a registered dietitian since 2008, and has been working in various areas as a clinical dietician.
During her studies, Tania ran as a Division 1 collegiate track and field athlete, first for the University of Calgary Dinos, and then later for the University of Idaho Vandals. She specialized in the 3000 meter steeplechase, and also competed in the 1500m, 5km, and cross country races. Tania competed in many provincial, national and international competitions during her track and field career. Since ending her competitive days, Tania continues to stay active and has completed several road races, half marathons, adventure races and triathlons.
Tania has always had a passion for sports nutrition and healthy living. She understands the direct correlation nutrition has on exercise and performance and hopes to guide fellow athletes to reach their individual athletic goals. Tania also hopes to guide fellow athletes to reach their individual athletic goals. She also hopes to work with individuals to meet their own weight loss goals, without restrictive eating or limitations. Tania’s motto is: Everything in moderation. Even chocolate cake can fit in a healthy eating plan.
