Rod Giacchetta

Rod Giacchetta graduated from the University of Alberta with a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy in 2008. Previously to this, he was a practicing Chiropractic for over 10 years with successful practices in Lethbridge and Edmonton before deciding to add to his knowledge base with a Physical Therapy degree.
Rod is currently the only therapist in Alberta to hold licenses in both Chiropractic and Physical Therapy, and one of the only practitioners in North America to be able to practice both professions.
In addition to Physical Therapy and Chiropractic, Rod is proficient in all three levels of Active Release Therapy (lower, upper and spine). He was also a member of the Active Release Therapy Ironman treatment team, which involves treating the athletes at the Ironman Triathlon events. Away from the clinic, Rod is an Ironman triathlete and an Ultra marathoner who has completed several races of over 100K in his running career.
Such an athletic history provides him with an ability to truly understand the various struggles that patients will encounter when pursuing their goals. Rod’s treatment approach is a very active one that involves not only resolving the issue that brought his patients to the clinic, but also helping educate them to avoid future problems through proper exercising, stretching and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
