The clinics were recent sponsors of the St. Albert 10 Miler Road Race.  We offered pre and post event stretching for participants and featured giveaways at our booth.  As well, a large group from the clinic participated in the 10 Miler and the 6K.  In the above photo (l-r) Kory, Bobby, Graham, Stacie, James, Kat, Nadine, Karin, Celine, Tania, Kaitlyn, and Bev.

CBC’s The Nature of Things recently featured a great documentary (March 2012), called “The Perfect Runner” including footage from the Canadian Death Race which teams from our clinic race in each year.  To check out the documentary, click here.

Last weekend, Michele’s synchronized skating team performed at Rexall Place for the Old Timers Hockey Game featuring Glenn Anderson, Ron Duguay and Theo Fleury.
Michele Rowein coached her pre-novice synchronized skating team to recently win Living Skies competition in Regina on March 10, 2012. The team also recently won in Vancouver on March 4 and previously won Mountain Regionals (Western Canada) on January 29 in Edmonton.
As well, Michele recently coached her adult category team to win in Vancouver on March 4,  and a previously win in Calgary along with the Mountain Regionals (Western Canada) on January 29 in Edmonton.

Michele Rowein recently coached her synchronized skating team to 4th at the Canadian Nationals in Windsor, Ontario on February 24, 2012.  Click here to read an article recently released in their road to the finals.

In February 2011, Arri (l), Kory (c) and Graham (r) participated in the Medicine Cup Charity hockey tournament organized by the University of Alberta med students.  Over the weekend, the event managed to raise over $10,000 for the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation.

Graham Glennie recently completed the North Face Endurance Challenge Championship Trail Race in San Francisco, December 3-4, in the 50 mile race with a time of 9:03:44.  For more details on the race, check out Graham’s blog here.

                                 

Our clinics recently participated in Movember, a fundraiser where they raise funds for prostate cancer research and gain awareness for the cause by growing a moustache over the month of November.  Thanks to everyone that supported Team Therapeutic Moustaches, we managed to raise over $1100 for prostate cancer research.  Cam, Kory, Arri and Graham (l-r) representing a portion of our team.

James Dean was recently included in Avenue Edmonton Magazine’s Top 40 Under 40.  Click here to read the article they produced about his award.

This October, a group from our clinics participated in the 5K Run for the Cure with the all of the proceeds raised going to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.

September 29-October 1, James and his teammate Chris were off to Halifax to compete in City Chase National Championships (after winning the regional title in Kelowna).  They fought hard to the finish and end up coming in 2nd place overall in the National Championships.  For more details on the race and the adventures they faced, check out James’ blog here.

On Sunday, August 14, our clinics were involved in the St. Albert Triathlon, with Graham and Arri offering post event stretching for the participants.  As well, we were giving away a 60 minute massage.

        

Arri McWatt, James Dean and Graham Glennie assisted in raising over $30,000 for the Children’s Wish Foundation, so the wish of Zane to go to Hawaii with his family, could come true.  The team raised funds leading up to their participation in the Canadian Death Race (125km) in Grande Cache during the August long weekend.

A group from our clinics, Graham Glennie and the Panty Posse, participated in the Underwear Affair (5K & 10K) on June 18, while raising funds from cancers below the belt.

On the weekend of June 7th, we participated in a Slo-Pitch Tournament.  Our team, the Seventh Inning Stretchers may have not come in first, but as always, we had a lot of fun throughout the weekend.

During the month of May, our clinics attended the Mothers Day Run/Walk, inviting people to stop by our booth and enter to win a 60 minute massage.

In April 2011, we involved in the St. Albert 10 Miler, offering pre and post race stretching as well as participating in the race.  The team above all ran in the 10 mile race; L-R, Graham, James, Tania, Kory and Arri.Graham, Kory and Arri, participated in the Medicine Cup Charity (hockey) Tournament organized with the University of Alberta medical students  in February 2011.  The event raised over $10,000 for the Stollery Children’s Hospital throughout the weekend.
