* To go through diagnostic protocols, you must be assessed within 10 days

* Based on the diagnosis, you will receive treatments within the Diagnostic Treatment Protocols through your insurance.

* If it’s after 10 days, it is best to first contact your motor vehicle accident adjuster as it is outside of protocols and in to Section B billing.  If it is outside of protocols, usually we would initially go through your extended health care (if available) and then to the insurance company for direct billing.  If no extended health care is available, we would notify the insurance company and coordinate billing from there.

* Diagnostic Protocols are effective for either 90 days from the time of the accident or until the completion of a pre-determined number of treatments (10 or 21 treatments depending on the severity and diagnosis of your injuries).

* Some equipment can be approved as well, if recommended by the physiotherapist and approved by the insurance company.
